Biography
Robin Nimanong aka ROBBEDUZ (they/them) develops queer art rooted in dance and performance. Graduated with a bachelor's degree at Modern Theater Dance in Amsterdam (2017). Their work today, is strongly driven by their queer identity and Thai background. They combine queer identity and queer theory as frameworks for intimate collaborations crossing borders between technology, visual art, fashion and underground ‘subcultural influences.
Their work amplifies queer and POC narratives and holds a continuous dialogue on decoloniality, queer ecology and future-forward thinking. With an interdisciplinary focus and breaking with binary visions, Nimanong creates realms within theatre spaces and beyond.

Their non-binary approach, reshapes language, and liberates inner worlds. Questioning and reshaping (white & western) culture. Research is strongly informed by their Thai roots & sense of diaspora. Frameworks that arise within dance and embodiment are: meditation, resistance and celebration.

Their work is felt both as escapism and as realm resisting western society. They play with online grids on stage, where transformation and transmutation takes place. This could be a visual grid through projection, or a liminal space existing out of water. Though surreal, the counterstrategy (against the norm) by Robbeduz queer collaborations, also strongly reflect and share experiences of our current world.

Creations
Dance film ‘Aphrodisiac II (NEXT BEST FRINGE AWARD 2020)’ was made by and for the queer community.
After that queer multi-media performances: ‘Bodyscan 223’ (2021) and ‘Cyborg DNA’ (2023) were seen in theaters, museums and festivals. ‘Project Fools,’ (2025) is a collaboration with Ballroom Artists, together with DJ and visual artist Guenter Raler.
Living Exhibition and performance ‘Children of Zeus,’ (2026) is a collaboration with visual artist Valentina Gal. The Living Exhibition Children of Zeus premiered 12th of May 2026, in Bellevue, Amsterdam.

Nimanong also worked with DOX CLUB, on research named ‘Bimbo Manifesto’ (2025). And created for Artez Bachelor second years: FEMMCAM (2022). They has worked with collective Modern Bruises on Data-Morphia (2022) and has been teaching (I_AM improvisation, awareness, movement) at dance academies like Fontys, Artez and Amsterdam University of the Arts, Conny Janssen Danst and Henny Jurriens Studio/Chasse Studio Amsterdam and many more.
